 The samosa can be safely crowned as the national tea-time snack of Central India. What if you could easily make it at home without craving for your favorite store? This quick and easy recipe of triangle puffs can be done right in your kitchen!


Ingredients of a triangular puff


1 cup wheat flour


1/2 tsp castor oil


1 tablespoon oil


Cow's milk 3 tablespoons


1-2 medium potatoes


1/4 tsp dry mango powder


1/2 tsp cumin powder, fried


1/4 tsp coriander powder


1/4 tsp red chilli powder


1/4 tsp cumin


1 tsp black pepper (fresh ground)


In a pinch


To taste the stone salt


How to make a triangle puff


Mix in wheat flour, milk and castor oil (water if needed) and soft flour. Cover it with a damp muslin cloth and leave to stand for 20 minutes.


Steam potatoes. Carefully peel and mash.


Heat the oil in a skillet. When the oil is hot add the cumin. When it starts to break down, add roasted cumin powder, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, dried coriander powder, dried mango powder and asphotida. Cook for 15 seconds.


Add the potatoes and stone salt and mix it properly and cook for 1 minute.


Remove the pan from the flame. The samosa is ready.


Roll the chapati and fill with mashed potato mixture. Fold the shaped triangle samosa.


Cook these samosas at 160C until light brown.


Serve hot.
